The Pre-Employment Journey

Training is one of the final steps in the entire process, but there is no point in talking about training if the candidate isn’t truly interested in the position and doesn't give you a good impression.  That’s why having a great pre-employment journey is incredibly important.  In talking with many business owners recently, we know you have been thinking about recruitment in a different way as there is a much smaller pool of candidates.

Preparing the candidates for a smooth entry into your business is the priority.  They need to fit the company's profile and culture even before starting to meet the team and training.  Identifying the right profile for the right company, it is also necessary to have some procedures with clear communication.

Many of these procedures may involve an investigation to find out if the candidate is aware of the roles of the position, knowledge in the area (overall), and their responsibilities and attributions with and for the industry. Allowing them to understand that their role is important not only for your company but for the greater team involved is important.

The candidates must know how to execute the roles assigned to them, and feel supported in their position. They can't have a position as a Chef De Partie, but run a kitchen with no one above them for example.

This preparation and awareness of the candidate are one of the factors that help to avoid future demotivation and ensure they enjoy their first 42 Days with the brand.
